We often get asked what products we use within our treatments and generally we use a basic organic sunflower oil for most treatments. It has got a nice slip, which is important for massage, is one oil that very few people have a reaction to, and we like our products to be organic if possible. 70% of what you put on your skin is absorbed into your skin and processed by the body so we would not want to put any nasties on your precious skin. If we are using the IASTM tool or our cupping kit we will usually use a wax/balm as we need a little bit more of a grip. We have some lovely Torotape massage wax to choose from at the minute. When you book in for a wellbeing treatment, we push the boat out! You will often get asked to choose which nice smelling oil you would like. We let you choose because smell is important and when we are trying to get you to relax, we don’t want you being distracted by a smell you are not liking. If you are enjoying the smell it enhances the massage and response in the body. Your brain will release those happy hormones sending you to another level of relaxation. These delicious oils are Neal’s Yard Remedies Organic massage oil. We have chosen Neal’s Yard products because they are ethically sourced, not tested on animals, fully traceable (even the essential oils) and still ran and owned by the original family that took over the little shop based within Neal’s Yard in Covent Garden, London. We stock a small range of the products in case you want to extend your treatment and lovely relaxed feeling. Often the oils also have complimentary products so you can put them into your daily routine with bath oils, foaming bath or shower gels, etc. We are always on hand to give advice and help you pick the best ones for you and your skin type.
