Our CPD Certificate in Myofascial Dry Cupping for Sport and Massage is designed for those who are looking to use Dry Cupping modalities professionally within Massage Therapy, injury treatment and rehabilitation.
This course focuses on the use of Dry Cupping Therapy from a Western perspective and therefore focuses on the muscular-skeletal system.
Our course is open to Sports Massage Therapists at Level 3 or above, Sports Therapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors and Physiotherapists as continued professional development, and is accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
This course will focus on the application and theory behind the use of Dry Cupping Therapy from a Western perspective. The use of Dry Cupping Therapy within Sports and Remedial Massage treatment will be discussed along with its' benefit in relation to manual massage techniques.
Entry requirements and Background
Course applicants must be 18 years old or over and must hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Sports Massage Therapy or Massage Therapy. Applicants should have also been practising Sports or Massage Therapy for a period of time prior to enrolling on this course.
On completion of the course students will be able to demonstrate effective use and application of Dry Cupping Therapy in the management of Sports Massage Therapy and injury treatment in a safe and effective manner and will have a clear understanding of contraindications for treatment.

- Theory and physiology of Dry Cupping Therapy
- Contraindications and Health and Safety considerations
- Application of use within Sports Massage Therapy and other therapy contexts.
- Integration of Dry Cupping within therapy treatment
- Demonstration and Application of Dry Cupping Therapy,
Including static cupping, sliding, soft tissue release techniques and active movement within Dry Cupping
Our course is designed in relation to industry standards and is accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists and provides 8 Continual Professional Development hours (CPD).
This course will provide a mixture of practical application, theory work and supervised treatment
Taught by Dawn Morse BSc, PGCE, MSc
Dawn has a Masters Degree in Sports and Health Sciences, is a qualified teacher and is a Sports Massage Therapist.
Dawn was the programme leader for the University of Bath Sports Therapy Foundation Degree and lectured on the BSc programme for 9 years and is currently an associate lecturer for the Open University.
Dawn is the founder of Core Elements which provides regular training courses in Sports Massage and Sports Therapy modalities.
