Covid-19 Update

We understand that everything around the Coronavirus can be very scary, but we take health seriously within the Bodyworks Clinic.

We understand that everything around the Coronavirus can be very scary, but we take health seriously within the Bodyworks Clinic.
As an everyday measure, hand washing and sanitizing of surfaces is always a frequent and mandatory activity with every client who receives treatment here. Due to the extra guidance given by the Government we have also extended this to all surfaces that we may encounter throughout the clinic and we have made hand sanitizer available in reception to use on arrival and exit.
Extra measures we have put in place to mitigate the risk of infection spreading in our clinic include:

  •  Limiting appointments to a maximum of 45mins which reduces the contact time with us.
  •  We ask you to wear a mask at all times unless being treated face down. In this instance, we will create a ‘tissue pocket’ for you to breathe in and droplets will be contained.
  • Your practitioner will wear a mask, visor and gloves while treating you in close proximity.
  • Our consultation forms are all online now, so you are only in clinic for as long as you need to be for treatment.
  • You will fill in a COVID-19 screening form ahead of every appointment you have with us.
  • We have 30mins in between each appointment to limit the amount of people in clinic at any one time. It also reduces the contact time with others.
  • Class numbers are reduced to 7 enabling us to be 2m apart.

As an extra measure for those of you who are in the high-risk category for Coronavirus, The Bodyworks Clinic has added extra options for you to receive support when you need it:

  • You can ask for an appointment on a day when clinic is normally closed. Our therapists will try to accommodate you where possible to ensure you only come in to contact with one person only.
  • You can ask for a video self-help appointment which allows us to assess you as much as possible from afar and offer advice, exercise rehabilitation and self-treatment guidelines supported by a video program using our free app – Physiapp. These slots are 30mins.
  • You can ask for a home visit if you feel more comfortable in your own home as opposed to coming out to clinic, especially if you don’t drive. We are willing to offer this at no extra charge where possible as long as you are symptom free.

Our course protocol has also changed:

  • Like in clinic, each student will be screened before they attend.
  • If possible, card transactions are preferred for starter kits and final course payments.
  • You will work in pairs and stay with that partner all course. No swapping partners during the course.
  • Masks will be worn at all times during theory and moving around the clinic. Visors will be worn by students performing practical sessions.
  • No snacks will be provided on your course. Refreshments will be provided and held in the training room.
  • Lunch will be eaten in the training room or outside, not in clinic reception.
  • Windows will be open throughout to create good ventilation at all times.

Please stay safe and be sensible surrounding your own health and please follow the guidance given by the NHS and Public Health Authorities.
